Sewing Courses for

Come and experience Sewing

Hello and welcome to the Sewing Courses

I am a qualified teacher with 26 years of experience within the classroom setting, I am also an experienced dressmaker, curtain maker and soft furnisher.
I started to design and make clothes for my dolls when I was about 8! By the time I was 15, I was designing and making clothes for myself and friends, at 17, I made a wedding dress for a friend!
Whilst at school, I studied A level fashion and textiles (sewing), which I thoroughly enjoyed. For a few months, we did not have a sewing teacher, so I was released from lessons to teach the practical sewing lessons to the O level and CSE pupils – I absolutely loved it!
During my 20s, in addition to my nannying jobs, I had a roaring trade in smocked dresses for babies and children, and pencil skirts with matching jackets for women! I started making more wedding dresses, bridesmaid, and page boy outfits, followed by christening robes. I began expanding my business into curtains, blinds, and soft furnishings.
In 2018, I completed the National Design Academy Diploma in Professional Curtains and blind making.
I am now in the position of being able to combine my two loves – sewing and teaching – in these adult sewing lessons.
